Real Life Farm has been welcoming children and families to experience the joy of farm life for generations. Located in Canton, Michigan, our farm provides a place where kids can step away from screens and experience the outdoors, interact with animals, and discover how a working farm operates.
For many children, visiting Real Life Farm is their first opportunity to meet animals up close, care for them, and learn about the natural world in a hands-on way. Whether it’s feeding animals, riding horses, exploring the woods, or simply enjoying the fresh air, the experiences here create memories that stay with children for years.
Our farm serves families and groups through a variety of programs: summer day camp, fall hayride group events, and seasonal school field trips. Each program is designed to give children meaningful experiences with animals, nature, and outdoor adventure while creating a safe and welcoming environment for visitors. Also, families with young children (ages 2½–6) enjoy our year-round Real Life Nursery School and Kindergarten, which provides a quality early education alongside Real Life Farm experiences.
While Real Life Farm is not a daily walk-in attraction, we love sharing the farm with families through these special programs. Many of the children who first visit us for a field trip or summer camp return year after year, creating traditions that last throughout childhood.
